"Feathers on the Wind" was written in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan, inspired by the devastation of Peek’s Cove, a place nearly erased by the storm. Played by The Weather Channel when reporting about hurricane Ivan, it stands as a tribute to the lives, homes, and stories lost.
Since its recording, the region has faced another heartbreaking blow with Hurricane Helene. The song now carries even more weight as a reflection of both past and present grief, and the strength of those who remain.
